About the event
The Poverello House is a nonprofit organization in Fresno, California, founded in 1973 to serve homeless and needy individuals with compassion inspired by St. Francis of Assisi. It provides daily meals, emergency shelter, clothing, hygiene services, and support like case management and medical referrals, aiming to treat everyone with dignity and respect. The organization’s name, meaning “little poor one,” reflects its mission to offer care and hope to those experiencing poverty and homelessness.
During this winter drive, the members and executives of IWACC provided blankets, jackets, comforters, and toiletries for needy individuals and the homeless population here in Fresno County.
